Hello Yu-Gi-Oh! players. The new ban list was recently announced, and we figured a great way to celebrate it was to have a deckbuilding contest. The rules are very simple:

- You have to build an OTK deck following Yugioh advanced format rules.
- Your deck must be able to inflict 8000+ points of damage in one turn, or win via Exodia or FINAL. Basically, it has to end the game in one turn by either card effects or doing 8000+ in one turn.
- Here's the catch: Judgment Dragon and Dark Armed Dragon are banned from the competition. You may not use either of these cards while building your OTK deck.
- Your deck must OTK consistently. There is no "max cards needed" limit, but if you plan on having a 10 card combo to OTK with, make sure your deck can consistently set up.
- Be creative! 2nd place will go to whoever has the most creative OTK. That being said, it must still be consistent. An original deck is no good if it will only go off once in a blue moon.
- All sets up to ANPR are legal.
- Decks are due by Oct 1st.
- Prizes will not be shipped overseas.

Prizes:

1st place will receive 8 booster packs. This prize will go to whoever builds the most consistent OTK deck.
2nd place will receive 4 booster packs. This prize will go to whoever builds the most creative OTK deck. It must still function fairly well though.

There are only two entry requirements:
1. You must be a registered member of ETC Forums
2. You must have 25 posts.

Please send all entries to etcdeckbuilding@aol.com

This contest is really to introduce new members to the board while rewarding old ones, which is why the prize is not very large. We hope that all our entrants will remain active posters on ETC, as future tournaments will require 300-500 posts to join but have a much larger prize pool.

If you could help us advertise this as well, we'd greatly appreciate it. Tell your friends that ETC Forums is giving away booster packs simply for building an OTK. That's all. Put it in your signature on forums as well.

Thanks to everyone who helps out, and good luck!

Do we just put "OTK Contest" in the subject line and include our screen names?

Can the OTK use like a trap on the next turn to finish it? Like..a bunch of damage on your turn, then use Explosion at the beginning of your opponent's next turn?

Anything in the e-mail header is fine.

Magical Explosion is OKAY for an OTK.

Deckout can NOT be used unless you can mill 34 cards in 1 turn. If it is a FTK, then that's alright, but good luck making a consistent FTK deckout. Nothing like set 3 needle worm + 2 book of eclipse though. You can send in something like that but I assure you that you will not win unless you can consistently set that up.

Deadline will be Oct 1st. I'll add it in OP.

I remember I got an OTK idea some time today... No clue what it could have been, but now that CoSR is banned I can't do epic ones :(

Consistency would refer not to the fact that it can win games if it misses its OTK, but that it can set up 8000+ damage in one turn easily?
